Fabulous Leather iPad case!5
My #1 favorite feature of this Tuff-Luv case for iPad is the multiple viewing angles while in landscape mode. It cleverly folds its front panel back whose five snaps can secure a second flap from the back panel that holds up the iPad. Different angles make sense for different uses and contexts. A flatter angle makes sense for writing email and notes or surfing the web, but a more upright angle makes sense for viewing movies and the like. I’ve used this case with my iPad on the sofa, on the plane, in a lecture hall, on my desk, and it works really really well, and with style to boot. So far its structural integrity remains intact.

Second to that is the feel of a leather case on one’s fingers. The iPad experience is about touching, and this leather cases enhances the effect. This is something only a great poet can describe well, so you’ll have to try it for yourself.

It works for portrait mode to quickly open and access the iPad, then quickly reprotect it. Or if you’re using it like a tablet, holding it with one hand while operating it with the other. I can’t be sure how to improve it there (maybe a strap?), and it’s at least as good as any other case I’ve touched.

And Tuff-Luv went the extra mile, rerouting shipments from China due to that Iceland volcano. I wasn’t in a rush, but I appreciate their expediency.

Tuff-Luv multi-view Napa Leather case5
I rarely write reviews, but I will this time, because the product is so good. This case is really incredible. The leather is of excellent quality. It is very soft and doesn’t need to be broken in. It fits the IPad perfectly, so that the entire screen is visible, and the buttons and ports are all easily accessible. The device is fastened into the case, so it cannot accidentally slide out. The ability to use the case as an adjustable stand is also a very nice feature. This is truly a great product, better than I could have hoped, and I can’t even think of any possible improvements.
BTW, delivery was originally delayed because of the European flight cancellations due to the volcanic ash problem. The company sent the case by second day air at their expense, as soon as it was possible to ship.

Perfect Case! My Girlfriend is jealous!5
When the ipad released without a stand I was a bit disheartened. I’m almost never in a situation where I can sit back on a couch with both feet (in socks) up on a coffee table, like in all the iPad commercials. I’m always out, at coffee shops, clubs or on the public transport system. This case from Tuff-Luv is *perfect*, and I don’t throw that word around much. It’s absolutely awesome, and an ESSENTIAL accessory for my iPad. My girlfriend wants one in pink! Lol.

The case is nice to begin with, genuine leather and high-quality black snaps are very professional looking. When looking for a case, I noticed all the similar cases for the iPad have a divot-mechanism, which would be prone to slipping during use, and would be an absolute nightmare to use on the bus or rail; every bump would drop my iPad flat on its back! I must say, the Tuff-Luv folks have a great solution for this: snaps! Simple, yet effective. No matter how much jostling occurs, the pad stays upright and fixed to the base. Wonderful! With all the ports and buttons accounted for, I never have to take it out of the case. The snap strap on the front makes a unique addition to the look and feel of the case, as well as functionally covering the snaps for the stand.

I don’t know if this was an intentional feature, but the snap is quite useful for propping up the ipad case in portrait mode as well. Here’s another instance where the divot stands would be useless. I’m actually quite fond of using my ipad as a digital frame, and find that in portrait mode, it looks very cool sitting on my desk in that configuration. :)

Another problem I had while looking through alternative ipad cases is that everyone seemed to think it was a good idea to have SD card holders and business card holders, etc. on the inside cover, resting right up against the screen. This is a HORRIBLE idea! Remember how fragile the iPhone screens are, and the thought of having anything sticking out against a touch screen as large as the iPad’s (let alone, with sharp plastic SD cards), was enough to give me shivers. I found Tuff-Luv’s solution to be quite nice, safe and simple: Let NOTHING stick out to create pressure points on that gorgeous screen!
People who know me also know I’m a bit of a cheapskate. The only flaw I could find was that it wasn’t the cheapest case on the market, but hey, I already shelled out big bucks for my iPad, and having had this case for a month or so now, I certainly feel the little extra money has been way, way worth it, (especially the first time I dropped it! Just that satisfying dull thud of soft leather and cushioning.) :D

I’d like to extend and extra thanks to the folks at Tuff-Luv for shipping the case to me directly from one of their suppliers in China to circumvent the volcanic ash flight-ban in Britain… I’ve never had ANY company go to those kinds of lengths to get my order to me on time. A breath of fresh air (pun intended). ;)

Tuff Luv has been reading my mind, again! Lol5
So, I wasn’t able to post a review for the pre-ordered version, so I’ve had to wait to post this review.

I previously bought the multi-view version of this case, but this version does one better, with a vertical tilt stand too!

Part of the following is copied from my other review, since it’s essentially exactly the same case with one more added feature. Rather than making you read the other review, I’ve included the same points here.

When the ipad released without a stand I was a bit disheartened. NEW: THEY ADDED A VERTICAL TILT STAND! I had previously mentioned how the other case will stand up in this configuration, however, this added tilt feature makes for a MUCH BETTER reading experience in portrait mode. I had to have it, so I bought this case and gave the other multiview to my girlfriend. Lol. Here’s another instance where the divot stands would be useless. I’m actually quite fond of using my ipad as a digital frame, and find that in portrait mode, it looks very cool sitting on my desk in that configuration. :)

Regarding the new vertical (portrait) tilt stand: it would have been cool if they had included this feature in the original Multiview case, but then, I say that about the iPhone, every time Apple comes out with new features. :) Sometimes it costs more to have the latest, coolest thing. My girlfriend loves the other case for her ipad, so the original purchase was still well worth it. :) Just don’t make one in pink, or I’ll have to buy another one! Lol.
